Local Attractions in Balingup

The Old Cheese Factory is the largest privately owned
craft centre in Western Australia. Here you can find just about every
handcrafted good in existence, including stoneware pottery, timber
products, aboriginal crafts, t-shirts and antique furniture. Articles to
suit all budgets and tastes.

Tinderbox has a unique and diverse range of herbal products to
meet most human needs and desires. They produce the purest of
products based only on ingredients from the plant world with no
artificial additives, colour or ‘hidden extras’. These are no ordinary
products, but an ‘experience’ of healing and well-being at affordable

Jalbrook Alpaca Knitwear Gallery has a great range of alpaca products produced both locally from their own wool. Includes gifts such as hand spun and knitted baby booties, hats, beanies, scarves, gloves and exquisitely soft alpaca teddy bears, alpaca toys and a range of hand knitted ‘art pieces’. They also sell carded wool and a range of knitting wools. Open 7 days a week 10.00am – 4.00pm

Balingup Lavender Farm – Balingup-Nannup Road – 2.5km from Balingup
A unique farm with over 10,000 lavender plants where they produce their own oil. Picnic area, open gardens, a studio promoting local artists, lavender products, local crafts and light refreshments. Open 6 days a week (closed Tuesday)  between September – April, 10.00am – 4.00pm.  May to Aug open casual hours so visitors can ring to enquire and make an appointment.

BRIDGETOWN (25 MINUTES)
Has a selection of restaurants including the well known Nelsons (best to book).

NANNUP (35 MINUTES)
Has a selection of good restaurants plus a winery restaurant known as The Blackwood Winery. There is also a popular daytime restaurant and winery en route, Tathra (20 minutes).

DONNYBROOK (30 MINUTES)
Many Cafes, eateries and a fabulous adventure playground.
