Each year, a few weeks before the Balingup Medieval Carnivale our magical town comes alive with the installation of the Jesters. These colourful characters line the main street, signaling that it’s Carnivale time. Constructed from paper mache they are made with love and care by the small team of Carnivale volunteers. These volunteers meet each Sunday throughout the year to bring the event together making jesters, costumes, decorations and of course, the Dragon!
And then, a few weeks after the Carnivale ends it’s time to take down the Jesters and store them safely until next year. A big thanks to the Carnival Committee and goodbye Jesters…until next year!
